Historique


1876
The LAGRANGE agency specialising in urban property transactions was created.
1960
After creating the ‘Lagrange Index’, an innovative and original aid to selling property in the fifties, Lagrange developed a seasonal rentals operation taking advantage of the property market in Spain and the tourist draw of the Costa Brava for holiday rentals.
1970
During the seventies and eighties, Lagrange extended its growth into Europe and opened central booking offices for holiday rentals in Germany, England, Belgium, France and Switzerland, locating its headquarters in Switzerland. The holiday rental distribution operation accounted for the majority of the Group’s activities.
1985
A separate apartment and maisonette management branch was formed, offering the owners of secondary residences in France the option of turning over their properties in the form of a mandate or lease for the company to arrange holiday rentals in return for rent. The leisure property market was expanding rapidly at the time and this branch developed very rapidly.
1998
In line with the growth strategy of its residence management branch, the Group proceeded to acquire the Pyrenean Company, RESITEL, specialists in the management and operation of residences with children’s clubs which notably had the largest number of tourist residences in SAIN–LARY in its portfolio.
2000
Lagrange Patrimoine, a Group subsidiary specialising in the marketing of properties in tourist residences, was created. Lagrange Patrimoine was created to fulfil the Group’s internal growth strategy. This subsidiary has a wealth of property sales experience, helps keep marketing costs down and provides support for developers when they need to produce specifications. It provides the certainty in relation to each new residence that the management branch’s requirements will be met as regards the design of holiday products.
2002
The portfolio managed by the Group grew and the range was elevated through the acquisition of SODEREV, a company specialising in the management of 4 star residences.
2003
VACANTEL was acquired, adding a new portfolio of 56 residences. Three MGM residences were taken over topping off the exclusive luxury residences offer.
2006
New brands were created for the residences managed by the Lagrange Group. The names of the 3 brands of residences managed by the Lagrange Group were changed to provide better Group membership visibility and greater transparency of product:
  • > Soderev became LAGRANGE PRESTIGE
  • > Résitel became LAGRANGE FAMILY
  • > Vacantel became LAGRANGE CLASSIC.
2007
A new Lagrange range was created: LAGRANGE CITY. Ultimately, this brand will provide quality accommodation intended for a mixed business and holidaymaker clientele in the major European cities.
2008
The ‘Spa and Wellbeing by Lagrange’ Suites were created. The Lagrange CONFORT + brand was created.
