The Pyrénées-Orientales département is part of the Languedoc-Roussillon région.
It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the East, Spain to the South, the Aude département to the North and Andorra and the Ariège département to the Font Romeu lies at the heart of the Pyrénées Catalanes regional natural reserve, between France and Spain and near Andorra on the immense Cerdagne plateau.
Font Romeu offers an uninterrupted veiew of mountain ranges with peaks at over 2,900 metres high. It is an extremely sunny resort (3,000 hours of sun per year) with exceptional weather conditions free from physical-chemical pollution or allergens. Both in the summer and winter, you can discover rare landscapes and encounter the strong Catalan identity.
